He cocked and eye at her; she cocked an eye at him, as they stood there in an NYPD bathroom, cockeyed.
A pair of NYPD recruits were suspended Friday after being caught having sex in department's training academy bathroom in Queens, NY, according to sources for the New York Post. The sex was between a man and a woman, both recruits, but had it been a same-sex situation, it might have gone unreported because it's 2022 and Democrats and all.
The steamy scene unfolded in a locker room shower, where the couple was discovered 'doing the dirty' after getting clean. They were identified as Javon Latibeaudiere, 26, and Madelin Ramirez Solano, 21. They joined the department in July and joined each other on company time, as it were.
The newspaper found Latibeaudiere leaving Solano's home in da Bronx on Saturday morning and asked for comment.
“I am not supposed to talk about it,” he said when asked what happened with Solano. “I’m not supposed to talk to the press.”
“This is what we’re recruiting now,” the Post's source said about the situation.
Another said, “These recruits don’t fear or care about getting caught breaking the rules.”
Latibeaudiere, who lives in upstate Orange County, is a Marine Corps veteran who was discharged in 2019. He studied at Pace University [at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge on the Manhattan side, for you geography buffs] and graduated this year. In 2019 he said in a CBS New York interview that returning to civilian life has been "challenging," but he seems to be doing okay with the women.
“When you’re in the military, they don’t technically prepare you to leave the military. People don’t have the right resume, they don’t know how to translate what they learned in the military to real-life skills,” he said during an interview at a job fair for veterans. [He seems to interview a lot.]
The academy, where recruits spend six months, includes a gym, indoor track and a “tactical village that emphasizes hands-on scenario-based training.”
The recruits’ suspensions came just days after Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell said she [I'm as surprised as you are that Keechant is a chick] would make unspecified changes to the department’s disciplinary guidelines.

She said in a memo that she did “not want officers to feel that they have been treated unjustly, but rather motivated women and men who are enthusiastic members of the service who collaborate effectively with community residents.”
“The two officers are suspended. The matter is under internal review,” the NYPD said.
