"Abolish the Senate" trending on left

The inherent vice of capitalism is the unequal sharing of blessings; the inherent virtue of socialism is the equal sharing of miseries.-Winston Churchill

It only took one Democratic Senator who made a controversial statement for the leftists on Twitter to call for abolishing the senate.

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) pledged on Fox News to be a key vote in preventing the proposed power grabs by his own party. [Senate Minority Leader] Chuck E. Schumer's nostrils flared at the news while the communists on Twitter went ballistic.

Manchin interviewed with Fox News' Bret Baier, who questioned Manchin about a comment Schumer made last week saying the Democrats will "change America" if they win two run-off Senate races in Georgia.

Manchin said, “Well, there’s a lot of people that are concerned. There’s a lot of fear tactics that are being used right now. If both of the Georgia senators were elected from the Democratic Party, then that would be 50/50, if both Dan Sullivan and Thom Tillis win; 50/50 means there’s a tie. But if one senator does not vote on the Democratic side, there is no tie and there is no bill.

“So, I commit to you tonight and I commit to all of your viewers and everyone else that’s watching, I want to lay those fears, I want to rest those fears for you right now, because, when they talk about whether it be packing the courts or ending the filibuster, I will not vote to do that,” Manchin continued. “I will not vote to pack the courts. I think — and I will not vote to end the filibuster. Bret, this system, the Senate, this so unique body in the world, it was made to work together in a bipartisan way. And once you start breaking down those barriers, then you lose every reason that we are the institution that we are, the most deliberative body.”

“So, I want to lay those fears to rest, that that won’t happen, because I will not be the 50th Democrat voting to end that filibuster or to basically stack the court,” he added. “And then all the other things you’re hearing about, Bret, also, is — defund the police. I don’t know of any of the Democrats in the caucus that are for defunding the police. We are not for that whatsoever. And when they talk about basically Medicare for All, we can’t even pay for Medicare for some. It doesn’t make any sense at all. We have got to fix the Affordable Care Act [aka Obamacare] we have. And I think our Republican — moderate Republicans will work with us to now repair what needs to be repaired.”

The left seems dead set on not just abolishing the senate and the police, they want to abolish capitalism altogether. Ben Shapiro gives a primer to the young man in the video below on how capitalism works.

Manchin also took to Twitter and added, “Let me be clear: I will not vote to pack the courts & I will not vote to end the filibuster. The U.S. Senate is the most deliberative body in the world. It was made so that we work together in a bipartisan way. If you get rid of the filibuster, there’s no reason to have a Senate.”

The children of the hard Left went berserk by Manchin's remarks. Here are a few of the calls on Twitter to abolish the Senate. Note the lack of rationale that explains why it needs to go:
There is, in fact, no reason to have a Senate. https://t.co/Kx1BL9Z2mt

The next one must have been elicited in a sheltered workshop in Russia:
Actually, filibuster or no, there's no reason to have a Senate. It is an artifact of a slaver constitution that in both intent and practice preserves white minority rule. https://t.co/0OePnnOL0r

And this one is exactly wrong:
Yes this is the idea. The senate is undemocratic. Reform is needed. https://t.co/a2AflQEXWY

There are plenty more posts and most have a similar call. A number of posts use big, misspelled words and lack reasoning that makes sense. Even the Washington Post's self-described "conservative," Jennifer Rubin put her two rubles in:
sounds good about now https://t.co/46xW5Qkjd9

These are the same people who would call a cop if they were being threatened and would love a Senate if it had a Democratic majority to fulfill their communist manifesto. These are the same kids you played with as a child who wanted you to give them your toys to take home and changed the rules of the games you played with them to suit their needs.

A final quote from Ben Shapiro:
Socialism has no moral justification whatsoever; poor people are not morally superior to rich people, nor are they owed anything by rich people simply because of their lack of success. Charity is not a socialist concept - it is a religious one, an acknowledgment of God's sovereignty over property, a sovereignty the Left utterly rejects.
Thank G_d for people like Joe Manchin, whose politics is generally challlenged by conservatives, but who, at least has the integrity, and even some may say patriotism, to preserve our American way of life.
