The EU may pretend that Iran is in compliance with the nuclear deal they all signed on to and that Trump withdrew us from in 2018, but a recent German intelligence report states the Islamic Republic of planning to build weapons of mass destruction, according to Fox News who obtained a May 2019 intelligence document from the state of Bavaria.
The intel details Iran's nefarious weapons activities in the southern German state during the previous year.
The Bavarian Office for the Protection of the Constitution [an agency roughly equivalent to our FBI] wrote in its report that Iran is a "risk country" that is "making efforts to expand its conventional arsenal of weapons with weapons of mass destruction."
According to the report, weapons of mass destruction [WMD] are defined as "the spread of atomic, biological, chemical weapons of mass destruction."
Iran's clerical regime had agreed to restrict development on its nuclear program in exchange for economic concessions as part of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), also known as the Iran deal. The problem with the deal was that it didn't stop Iran from building a nuclear weapons device, the Trump administration said.
Of course, that is true and there should be no doubt that Tehran had no plans of stopping their jihad.
On Tuesday, Richard Grenell, the U.S. Ambassador to Germany, told Fox News: "We know the Iranian regime is on the hunt for money to fund their malign activities and so it is imperative that the U.S. and our European allies work together to deny this regime the capital they seek. They will use secretive schemes and dark money; we must be vigilant. They are strapped for cash."
The Bavarian intelligence report charged: "In order to obtain the necessary know-how and corresponding components, these states [Iran, North Korea, Pakistan] are trying to establish business contacts to companies in highly technological countries like Germany."
There is more evidence in the Bavarian agency report that indicates the nefarious intent of Iran, such as an electronic beam welding machine that Germany's criminal customs police prevented from being transported to the Shi'ite country. "The machine can be used for the production of [missile] launch vehicles," the report read.
Attempts were made "to disguise the actual customer in Iran," the document said in reference to the welding machine, and it cited an end user in Malaysia. The Bavarian-based company that makes the machine was convicted of violating Germany's export control law and hopefully Bavarian heads will symbolically roll.
This should be a wake-up call for Germany and the rest of the EU who continue to deny reality by attempt maintaining the nuclear deal with Iran at all costs. The alligator will eventually eat them too.
