Jimmy Kimmel is a characterless liar

Jimmy Kimmel used his young son, little Billy, as a prop to make a political point, which is beyond disgusting and immoral.

Just before going live, Kimmel pulled out a nose hair which brought tears to his eyes and his voice wavered just like he practiced.

"Hi, I'm Jimmy. This is Billy," Kimmel said all choked up as he held his bewildered son, a cute child born in April with a serious heart problem.

He used Billy as a verbal prop before, but now he was doing a complete visual prop with him. "He's fine everybody; he may have pooped, but he's fine."

Ha ha ha . . . that was very funny. Even the audience chuckled.

Kimmel continued trying to pull on everyone's heartstrings. "Daddy, [sniff] cries on TV, but Billy doesn't." Sniff . . .  sniff.

Then he thanked the guest host who filled in for him last week because he had to take time off to care for little Billy because he couldn't afford to hire a nurse or attendant--just kidding, of course he could. He's very wealthy and doesn't need worry about the small stuff.

Next he praised the "very bright and talented doctors and nurses" at the Children's Hospital in Los Angeles where Billy was treated, and kids like him who, according to Kimmel, are having their health "especially threatened right now" because federal funding has run out for the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

Which isn't true in the first place because Trump already extended it. And it has nothing whatsoever to do with little Billy, because Kimmel never used it. And it was Orin Hatch who originated the CHIP program and the Republicans who are pushing to pass it against the resistance of the Democrats who are trying to make it part of an irrelevant bill tied to it, but Kimmel tried to make it sound like it is being held up because of the Republican tax plan.

CHIP has nothing to do with the tax plan. Kimmel is simply a liar and he's using his child to give us a visual effect and pretend that because he's personally affected by health care through his son's condition, he's somehow an expert on health care.

Whatever happened to comedy?
