Matt Lauer is now being accused of exposing himself to an employee in his office and taunted her and harassing her.
It was also reported that Lauer had a switch under his desk which was used to lock his office door in order for him to allegedly be sexually inappropriate with women.
The inappropriate behavior that got the media star booted from the "Today" show was not a one-time sleaze deal, Variety reported Wednesday.
The "detailed complaint" was evidently believable to the executives at NBC and it motivated the network to fire him preemptively, before other media got the story in their hands.
Variety reported that Lauer's behavior with women at NBC included luring a woman employee into his office and exposing his penis to her, giving her a sex toy as a gift and playing a game called "F**k, marry or kill."
Just this past September, Lauer interviewed Bill O'Reilly formerly of Fox News, and questioned him about his alleged behavior with women who made similar claims as Lauer is now facing.
The irony was palpable.
The incident in question with Lauer took place during the 2014 Sochi Olympics, NBC said Wednesday. Variety said that Lauer would use his time traveling with the network's Olympic coverage to ask female staffers to join him in his hotel rooms. The magazine spoke to three women who alleged to be victims of Lauer.
NBC didn't respond to requests for comment regarding the allegations.
"There were a lot of consensual relationships, but that's still a problem because of the power he held," a former producer told Variety. "He couldn't sleep around town with celebrities or on the road with random people, because he's Matt Lauer and he's married. So he'd have to do it within his stable, where he exerted power, and he knew people wouldn't ever complain."
Lauer has not as yet released a statement regarding the allegations, but I wouldn't want to be him, especially after he falls asleep tonight next to his wife.
He better sleep with one eye open.
