Navy SEAL still thinks Katy Perry should go to hell

When people say really stupid things, they should be held accountable for their statements. Former Navy SEAL Carl Higby told Katy Perry to go to hell and came under fire for it. But Navy SEALs don't back down and he doubled down on his words as a guest on Fox News on Thursday.

Originally, Higby told Perry to go to hell over her asinine comments she made about the terrorist bombing in Manchester, UK.

Perry  naively said that we all need to coexist, have open borders, show each other love and that would make the terrorists love us.

Higby told The Daily Caller he didn't go too far in the interview when others pushed back on him.

"No, I'm doubling down," he said. "The problem is that Katy Perry lives in a bubble. She influences millions of young children who believe everything that comes out of her mouth. It's irresponsible of her to say something like this, when she has no understanding of the situation. Open borders would be a disaster."

Higbie correctly believes the American public are mesmerized by entertainers. He thinks it's driving people to Hollywood for answers rather than the media.

"People are captivated by pop culture," he said.

"It's remarkable that people like Katy Perry and Kim Kardashian have multiple times the amount of followers as the Speaker of the House. Entertainers are not meant to inform--that isn't their job."

Yeah, tell that to Stephen Colbert and Al Franken.
