New Harvard poll shows huge majority of Americans support Israel against Hamas

Harvard may be a very anti-Semitic university, but the recent poll they just revealed shows that Americans are not. The Harvard Harris poll shows that 82 percent of Americans support Israel in the war against Hamas and 68 percent say they think the Jewish State is doing what it can to avoid collateral damage, i.e., harming non-combatant civilians.

Those are extremely good numbers favoring Israel and should give us hope that while the news may portray Americans as pro-Hamas and anti-Zionist, the majority of Americans have their heads screwed on right.

The poll was conducted from Feb. 21 to 22 showing a steadfast support for Israel even among young registered voters. Specifically, 72 percent of 18 to 24-year-olds respond in favor of Israel over Hamas, which is up from 57 percent in the January poll.

Sixty-seven percent of Americans believe a ceasefire should only go into effect after all the hostages are released and that Hamas is totally removed from power in Gaza, as opposed to supporting an unconditional ceasefire that would leave the hostages and Hamas in place. Sadly and ignorantly, 53 percent of 18 to 24-year-olds favor an unconditional ceasefire, which would effectively make Hamas the winner and encourage more future attacks.

The poll also shows that 68 percent of respondents believe Israel is doing what it can to minimize casualties, and 63 percent support Israel's war efforts to root out the final Hamas scum, despite displacing 1.2 million civilians.

Consistent with last month’s poll, 78 per cent of respondents believe Hamas should be removed from power in Gaza but remain split on how Gaza should be administered: 34 per cent believe it should be administered by Israel, 28 per cent by the Palestinian Authority, and 39 per cent believe it should be administered by a new authority set up through negotiations with Arab nations.

What do you think?
