Has it been a year already? Wow, how time flies when you're between Israeli Apartheid Weeks. In many leftist college campuses, Israeli Apartheid Week is in full swing and the pro-Palestinian anti-Semites, anti-Zionists are staging their week of hatred starting today.
This event often uses street theater, including the forcing of students to pass through mock checkpoints and erecting an "apartheid wall." Israelis call this a security barrier and it has helped them keep Palestinian suicide bombers out of Israel's streets, buses, and restaurants, thus protecting the civilian men, women, and children it is designed to protect.
These pro-Palestinians are trying to equate Israel with South Africa's former apartheid state and they call for a boycott of Israel. But they really don't want a total boycott of Israeli products because without them, these pro-Palestinians would be living a life of misery.
Pro-Israeli groups are attempting to counter the Israeli Apartheid Week movement by erecting a "Wall of Truth" that displays things the anti-Semites don't show you, and they want to put on street theater of their own that portrays men dressed as suicide bombers with AK-47s and keffiyih, dramatizing a bomb scene in a cafe, for example.
I believe they should go a step further and show how the injured are treated in both Israeli and Palestinian hospitals after a suicide attack takes place. You see, the Israelis actually treat wounded Palestinians in their Jewish hospitals, but the converse is not true. In fact, if a wounded Israeli sought medical treatment in a Palestinian hospital, it's likely that he or she would not leave that hospital alive.
Instead of their "Apartheid Wall," I would have a wall lined with photos, actual on-the-scene photos of the results of their suicide attacks. It would show the dead babies, children on bombed out school buses, and other atrocities committed by these barbarians in all the graphic, sinister detail. It would be horrifying and ugly, but it would be honest.
Of course, there will still be some anti-Semites who will try to justify the carnage by blaming it on the victims; there will always be anti-Semites. But some of the more intelligent students will see the truth: that when you must choose between the civilized and the barbarians, the right choice is obvious.
