Harris' campaign lied about Tampon Tim chairing "Veterans Affairs"

The look one gets when one realizes their pants are on fire

He didn't go to Iraq, he never fought in war, he was not a Command Sergeant Major upon discharge, and in spite of the Harris campaign claiming he "chaired" the Veterans Affairs Committee, he never did that either. In fact, he never caught a rabbit and he ain't no friend of mine.

Of course I'm talking about Tampon Tim Walz, the stolen valor villain who left his men when they needed him as they deployed to the war in Iraq and he left before his reenlistment was up. Had he not lied about his 'war effort' he would have had our respect, but he lied and that's stolen valor, and that's a federal crime.

Now the Harris campaign has jumped on the make-believe bandwagon after they put out a statement claiming the Minnesota governor chaired the committee.

The statement came as the campaign defended Walz’s military record, even though he lied about serving in Iraq. He actually served in Italy and enjoyed the pasta.

“After 24 years of military service, Governor Walz retired in 2005 and ran for Congress, where he chaired Veterans Affairs and was a tireless advocate for our men and women in uniform — and as Vice President of the United States he will continue to be a relentless champion for our veterans and military families,” the campaign said.

If Walz actually advocated for our men and women in uniform, he would have deployed with them as he was supposed to do seeing as how he had another 2 years to go. He also lied about that saying he reenlisted for only 4 years, when there is documented proof that he reenlisted for 6 years, which would have been the time he would have gone to Iraq, where three of the men under him were killed.

Real Clear Politics reported that Walz never chaired the Veterans Affairs Committee.

He spent more than ten years in the House of Representatives and became the ranking member on the Veterans Affairs Committee – meaning he was the highest ranking member for the party not in power – but he never actually chaired the committee.

“On May 16th, 2005, [Walz] quit, betraying his country, leaving the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion and its Soldiers hanging; without its senior Non-Commissioned Officer, as the battalion prepared for war,” Behrends and Herr, members of his military unit wrote.

Now I don't know whether or not to believe he coached football and is an avid hunter who doesn't use weapons of war to hunt.
