The Irish women's basketball team refused to shake hands with the women of the Israel women's basketball team both before and after the game because the Irish women are anti-Semites.
Surprisingly, the Irish team should have forfeited the game but they played anyway.
The good news is the Israeli team destroyed the Irish team 87 to 57. So what the Irish team was lacking in talent, they excelled in ignorant hatred.
The game was played on Thursday at the 2025 Women's European Championship qualifier in Riga, Latvia.
Ireland Basketball previously issued a cowardly statement in January threatening that it might not play against the superior Israeli team. The claimed that it had “raised strong concerns about these fixtures with Israel, including the option not to play the games.”
This, of course, comes after the October 7 attack against Israelis, mostly civilian men, women, children and babies. Very soon after the massacre by Hamas, many useful idiots blamed the victim, Israel, for what Hamas did to these people.
The game was initially to be played in Israel in November, but was moved to February amid the war in Gaza. Two days prior to the match, Ireland’s team issued a statement blasting Israeli basketball player Dor Sa’ar who called the team “quite anti-Semitic.”
Are there any doubts Sa'ar is correct?
“It’s known that they are quite anti-Semitic and it’s no secret, and maybe that’s why a strong game is expected,” Sa’ar said. “We have to show that we’re better than them and win. We talk about it among ourselves. We know they don’t like us and we will leave everything on the field always and in this game.”
And Israel won decisively.
The Irish team refused to shake hands after the game setting themselves up as role models to young female anti-Semites who look up to these losing racists.
